Tim is a retired educator and coach. He spent 21 years with Wilkes Community College before retiring from his position as Lead Architectural Technology Instructor and 13 years at Wilkes Central High School as an Industrial Technologies teacher and department chair.
Over the past 40 years, Tim has coached football, volleyball, baseball, and softball at all levels from T-ball to college.
As evidenced by his career choices, Tim has a passion for youth and young adults and endeavors to help them reach their full potential in the classroom, on the ball field, and most importantly in life and in their relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Tim is a Wilkes County native and graduate of North Wilkes High School and Appalachian State University. He is married to Melissa Lackey, also a Wilkes native. They have two children, Courtney and Cory.
Tim and his family are members of Hilltop Baptist Church, where Tim serves as a Deacon and Church Clerk.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Tim feels blessed to be a member of the Board of Directors for Craig Church Ministries. “I have known Craig for a long time, and I have witnessed the Lord taking this man and his family and using them to do His work. My prayer is that I can, as a board member, support Craig and his family in the ministry and serve in some small way to further His kingdom.”
